APPROACH
Our mission is to work collaboratively and creatively with each project to support staff in identifying and achieving program and service goals—in other words, to reach their True North. We are guided by the following values:
WE WORK WITH YOU
We work with you in collaborative team fashion. Of course, we welcome carrying a heavy load, but only to the extent you need and want this.
WE EMBRACE ADVENTURE
While we may rely on tried and true evaluation best practices (our ‘navigational tools’), we look forward to developing and testing new approaches, methods, and strategies.
WE SEEK TO DISCOVER
We enjoy learning and seek discovery and insights from each new journey.
WE ADHERE TO ETHICS
We adhere firmly to the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) guiding principles and ethics, ensuring our services and products reflect high levels of professional integrity.
Our values as defined by the American Evaluation Association (AEA):
-
Using methods that are contextually appropriate,
-
Developing objective measures of progress,
-
Protecting data collected confidentially or anonymously,
-
Creating and pilot testing instruments to verify cultural appropriateness and relevance,
-
Communicating honestly, openly, and continuously about the evaluation process, limitations, and results, and
-
Sharing data and findings equitably and with transparency, for the benefit of the client, funder, and other stakeholders.
We observe the following Program Evaluation Standards, established by the Joint Committee on Standards for Educational Evaluation (JCSEE):
-
Utility standards that increase the extent to which program stakeholders find evaluation processes and products valuable in meeting their needs.
-
Feasibility standards that increase evaluation effectiveness and efficiency.
-
Propriety standards that support what is proper, fair, legal, right, and just in evaluations.
-
Accuracy standards that increase the dependability and truthfulness of evaluation representations, propositions, and findings.
-
Accountability standards that encourage adequate documentation of evaluations and a metaevaluative perspective focused on improvement and accountability for evaluation processes and products.
“Thank you for your work! You are always so organized and calm; you clearly are a model to follow! Your effort and manner are greatly appreciated!”
“Judy is a joyful person to work with. Unlike other consultants, she uses her words very carefully. When she prepares an agenda for a meeting, she ensures we get through it!”
